Effective January 2, 2012, Human Services, Inc. (HSI) changed its name to Canvas Health. The change was made to reflect the wide breadth of services currently provided by the organization as well as its long-term vision.
“We have determined that our name no longer adequately serves the organization, and that a new name and brand identity will help reflect the continued shift to better serve patients, families, communities and other key constituencies,” says CEO Mark Kuppe.
Canvas Health also wanted to create a name that reflected the positive outlook it shares for its clients and the idea that a fresh canvas provides an opportunity to move forward and create a new life.
The name change is part of a broader rebranding effort designed to position Canvas Health as an organization offering an array of services across the Twin Cities metro area. The former HSI was historically perceived as a government agency serving primarily Washington County.
