A psychological assessment is a collaborative team effort between an individual, their support network (family members, health care providers, teachers, case managers etc.), and the evaluator that can enhance therapeutic understanding, cohesion, and provide a framework to meet desired goals.
Our paths are unique that take twists and turns by choice or by happenstance. Making sense of who we are, our personal experiences, and the connections between the two can be a tough job. My goal is to build a relationship that allows exploration, a change to increase self-awareness, and opportunities to work towards a desired change. Come as you are! It is a privilege to share your path.
As a therapist, I see the client as the expert in their own life and see myself as a coach who can guide and offer support along the way.
My goal is to assist the client in facilitating change and to develop further insight into how experiences and relationships influenced interactions and life choices.
I feel that as a therapist my job is to support and nurture positive change in others and feel honored that I am allowed this opportunity.
My goal is to help facilitate change, skill mastery, and acceptance; as well as to help develop insight into our abilities and capacity to cope with our most difficult challenges.
Therapy is a very personal and unique process. I believe everyone can achieve healthy states of being. The path taken to reach it is uniquely yours. Identifying your desired outcomes and needs will help guide our therapeutic relationship.
I strive to support clients in developing more adaptive ways of coping with stressors and to empower clients to utilize their strengths to overcome challenges.
I am a compassionate, gentle and highly attentive therapist, a person of trust, and sympathetic to all.
My approach to my patients comes with respect for their journey and recognizing the courage it took to show up to therapy. It takes bravery to face one’s self and I am honored to hear your story and work with you. Therapy provides a safe place to explore your history and examine the impact of your experiences on your thinking, feelings, relationships and behaviors. I provide evidenced based treatment with an integrated approach. I believe that therapy builds empowerment, resiliency, supports vulnerability, and helps build a connection to ones feelings.
It’s a privilege to work with people and share their journey.
Psychological assessment and treatment can offer an individual insight and awareness as to how life experiences, events, and relationships influence one’s development, growth, and functioning, and in so doing, offer an individual the opportunity to work toward change, transformation, healing, and hope.
I approach my work with the assumption that everyone has the capacity to change, if provided with the proper support and treatment.
Like a puzzle, people tell me disjointed parts of their problems. I can help you put the pieces together in a way that makes more sense.
I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is a key component to successful therapy. My professional philosophy includes incorporating multiple therapeutic techniques in order to tailor therapy to the specific needs of my clients. I emphasize empowering my clients I the therapeutic environment and their lives. My therapeutic style includes a balance of validation and challenges to help clients grow to their full potential.
I believe that supporting the mental health needs of young children, means partnering with caregivers to explore their child’s difficulties, seeking new ways of understanding them, promoting positive behaviors, and building a closer connection in their relationship.
Parenting is the most difficult work there is. I find it especially rewarding when I’m able to partner with caregivers in exploring their child’s difficulties to find new ways of both understanding and interacting with their child that brings about a stronger and closer connection in their relationship.
To facilitate change by helping the client develop his or her own strengths, insights, and strategies for health and growth.
Whether it is nature or nurture, biochemistry, genetics, or behaviors influenced by trauma or chaos, we can work together and make decisive changes that will render hope, healing, and everlasting change.
I am dedicated to collaborating with families to provide appropriate and effective treatment for children and families.
I believe that finding balance in ones life is important. I use an MST approach that focuses on ones strengths, and use CBT techniques to help find the balance that one is looking for.
I believe that balance is a crucial part of a healthy and meaningful life. We all struggle at times with confusing or challenging feelings, and it’s okay to seek support.
I can offer my clients healing through a positive corrective emotional experience while meeting them where they are in the healing process.
I strive to provide a safe space for clients to share their stories, build on strengths, develop insight, and learn new ways to change and grow.
I believe that when working with young children, it is so important to partner with parents and caregivers in developing strategies that promote positive behaviors and healthy interactions.
