Professional Philosophy

I believe that every person has their own unique story and I’m here to listen to that story without any judgment. I use a strengths based approach when I work with my clients and empower clients to build upon their strengths to help them in therapy. I have an authentic listening heart that desires to see people live as whole, healthy individuals. Overall, it is my philosophy is to treat each person as a unique individual, worthy of unconditional acceptance, regardless of his or her personal circumstances or struggles.

Professional Experience

My professional experience includes providing services in a variety of settings including schools, counties, hospitals, non-profit organizations and outpatient mental health clinics for over 20 years. My most recent experience was supervising the Scott County Mobile Crisis Response team who provided services 24/7 including answering a crisis line and providing crisis mental health services in the community.
