Substance Use Counselor
I believe in the power of an eclectic approach, treating everyone with unconditional positive regard, working from a client-centered base and assisting my clients in finding answers within themselves. I tend toward CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Harm Reduction as my go-to philosophies, unless otherwise indicated.
I am very comfortable working with individuals who identify as LGBT+/T, kinky, involved in poly-amorous/non-traditional relationship structures, have SIBs, have co-occurring mental health disorders (including psychosis) or who have Borderline Personality Disorder. My Master’s Degree included Mental Health counseling, which I am comfortable providing.
I have more than 25 years of experience in chemical and behavioral health counseling. I have worked in most treatment modalities using numerous Evidence-Based protocols.
