You can play a role in helping someone create the life they deserve and turning their vision into a reality. We invite you to help serve the community in any way that you can. We ask for a passion to help others, reliability and a willingness to learn. We offer orientation, training, support and opportunities for feedback and recognition.

Contributions of time, talent and resources are an integral part of Canvas Health’s ability to meet the mental health and substance abuse needs of our growing community. You can help us continue our work and ensure the health, stability, security and well-being of those in need by volunteering in a variety of ways.

Board of Directors Member
Location: Meetings currently on Zoom
Duration: 8 meetings/year
Interest/Skills: Passion for mental health and substance use treatment, fundraising, community service
Canvas Health and its Board of Directors need passionate people with a variety of viewpoints and life experiences to help advance our mental health and substance use care initiatives to help better our communities. Though our Board of Directors is fully staffed for 2022, we currently have committee openings and will have openings on our Board of Directors in the future. Stomp Out Suicide Fundraiser Volunteer
Location: Can be done anywhere
Duration: May-August 2022
Interest/Skills: Fundraising, Crowdfunding, Suicide Prevention, Running
Enthusiastic volunteers needed to recruit fundraising teams for the Stomp Out Suicide fun run, to be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 in at Goodview Park in Wyoming, MN. We also would welcome Stomp Out Suicide Ambassadors to help promote the event within their community and in their networks through promotional materials and social media.

Stomp Out Suicide 5K Day-Of Volunteer
Location: Goodview Park, Wyoming, MN
Duration:  1 occurrence: Saturday, August 20, 2022 – three shifts available
Interest/Skills: Events, Suicide Prevention, Running, Kid Activities, Mental Health
On-site volunteers are needed for set up, during event, and clean up for the Stomp Out Suicide fun run to be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Goodview Park in Wyoming, MN.

Canvas Health Golf Classic Fundraiser Volunteer
Location: Can be done anywhere
Duration: May-July 2022
Interest/Skills: Fundraising, Mental Health, Golf
Volunteers are needed to recruit teams for the 31st Annual Canvas Health Golf Classic at Dellwood Country Club in Dellwood, MN, on Monday, July 25, 2022. Committee members are also needed to help recruit sponsors for the event, as well as to secure silent auction items.

Canvas Health Golf Classic Day-Of Volunteer
Location: Dellwood County Club, Dellwood, MN
Duration: Monday, July 25, 2022 – 10 a.m.-7 p.m. (shifts available)

Volunteers are needed to work as spotters, greeters, and registration workers at the 30th Annual Canvas Health Golf Classic at Dellwood Country Club in Dellwood, MN, on Monday, July 26, 2021.

Valley Vine & Harvest Throwdown Fundraiser Volunteer
Location: Can be done anywhere
Duration: May-October 2021
Interest/Skills: Fundraising, Mental Health, Food, Wine
The competition is fierce as area chefs prepare creative dishes to earn guest votes at the Valley Vine & Harvest Throwdown on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, MN. Each mini-entree is expertly paired with fine wine. Committee members (ages 21+) are needed to promote the event, help recruit sponsors and participants, as well as to secure silent auction items.

Landscape Volunteer Project
Location: Oakdale mental health clinic, Oakdale, MN
Duration: 1 day TBD by volunteers
Interests/Skills: Gardening, landscaping, mental health
Our Oakdale clinic is in need of a landscaping facelift with new bushes, some sod, mulch, and perhaps some potted plants/flowers. This will make our clients feel more welcome when they come to the clinic. We do not have budgeted funds for supplies or person-power to complete this project currently.
