School-Based Clinical Trainee
As a therapist, I view therapy as a collaborative process that honors each client as the expert of their own experiences and needs. My role is to support clients in processing events, identifying their strengths and resources, empowering them to use these in therapy, and teaching new skills to help clients navigate current and future challenges with greater confidence.
With experience as a case manager, a therapist for mental health and addiction groups, and a crisis responder, I focus on teaching practical skills you can apply in everyday life. My training focused on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with some Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills. My goal is to empower clients with the tools and support to build confidence to meaningful change in their lives.
In my personal life I enjoy crocheting, traveling, hiking, going to concerts, and learning. I am always trying to learn something new or more about subjects I am unfamiliar with. I am hoping to learn basic American Sign Language this year.
