Doctoral Intern
I am a very relational person, which naturally overflows into my work with clients. I believe that growth happens in and through relationships and we are all interdependent (no matter how isolated someone finds themselves). The healthier we become the healthier our relationships become and vice versa. However, we are all starting from different places (usually because of factors outside of our control). As such, I incorporate a systemic understanding of how society, families, culture, race, ethnicity, policies, religious affiliation, and history impacts the access to resources and generational burdens different people carry.
I am currently in the final year of my doctoral training in psychology at the University of St. Thomas. I have practiced as a therapist for about 10 years and have pursued training and certifications in trauma treatment, dissociation, sandplay therapy, and cultural responsivity.
I have many hobbies and sources of joy including cooking, spending time with my family, foraging, arts/crafts, and being in nature.
