Clinical Trainee
My professional philosophy is grounded in the belief that every person has inherent worth, resilience, and the capacity for growth, regardless of their circumstances. I strive to create safe spaces where individuals feel heard, respected, and supported. I believe in collaborative relationships, where clients are active participants in their change process and where their lived experiences and voices are central to treatment planning and service delivery. I aim to challenge systemic barriers, advocate for access to resources, and contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate society. I also live by ethical decision-making and reflective practice, ensuring that I remain accountable to clients and the profession as a whole. I value continuous professional development with the understanding that I will always have more to learn.
Prior to joining the team at Canvas Health I worked as a Multi-Systemic Therapist (MST). In this role, I provided intensive in-home and community-based therapeutic services to severely at-risk youth (ages 12-17) with serious behavioral challenges and/or involvement in the juvenile justice or child welfare systems. The services provided followed the MST model to engage families, schools, and community stakeholders to create sustainable, long-term changes in the youth’s environment.
I have a dog named Eva and she is the absolute best. In my free time I enjoy hiking, knitting, weightlifting, and really any fun activity that ends with me drinking a boba tea!
