Professional Experience

I taught English, English as a Second Language, and special education in suburban and urban districts across the country for the last 15 years. Additionally, I worked with traumatized youth at Collier Group Home where I began my career in social work in their counseling department. I recently completed a master’s level clinical internship with Canvas Health in their TAP department and am proud to have joined their team as a full-time school-based therapist. I am trained in TF-CBT, Nurtured Heart Approach, and the Sanctuary Model. I am familiar with CBT, EFT, DBT, trauma-focused addiction, clinical anxiety treatment, trauma treatments.

I am a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and the Corresponding Secretary for the Minneapolis Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc.
