Mental Health Practitioner
As a member of the Carver County Mobile Crisis Response team, my goal is to provide caring, comprehensive support to those in our community who are facing a mental health crisis. I work alongside clients to develop a treatment plan customized to your individual strengths and needs. Support services may include initial assessment, follow up, stabilization services and coordination of care with referrals to external providers.
As a member of the former Carver County Crisis team, I was fortunate to learn all aspects of mobile crisis response from the initial crisis calls to providing wrap-around services to the client. My areas of experience include providing caring counseling to crisis callers, dispatching mobile crisis responders, providing healthcare navigation needs and managing the Rapid Access Psychiatry (RAP) appointment schedule. I also worked in the Carver County Emergency Dispatch Center supporting 911 dispatchers with mental health calls and coordinating emergency response when needed.
Offering caring support and stabilization services to community members in crisis provides a huge sense of fulfillment to me personally. Outside of mental health, however, I enjoy hiking, fishing, traveling to national parks, watching sports on TV, walking my Golden Retriever and spending time with my husband and two children.
