School-Based Mental Health Therapist; Cottage Grove Middle School
I am a Licensed Graduate Social Worker and received my Master of Social Work from the University of MN Duluth. I have worked primarily with children, adolescents and families throughout my career. I have a variety of experience working in various settings including schools, residential treatment, intensive day treatment, community mental health, outpatient and juvenile corrections. I am currently trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Trauma Therapy, Polyvagal Therapy, and DC:0-5 assessments. Other therapy modalities I use in my practice include CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Relational Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and elements of Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I utilize a holistic approach with my clients, specifically trauma-informed care. I provide psychoeducation to my clients and families regarding the brain and the nervous system, specifically how they work together. I recognize that beginning the mental health therapy journey can be hard but believes it should be a priority for overall emotional well-being.

When I am not at work, you can find me getting lost in a good book, laying somewhere under the sun, traveling to see the world, or spending time with loved ones.
