Family Treatment Practitioner
Shatera specializes in a family systems approach to therapy because it is often our closest relationships that bring about the most pain, suffering, and trauma in our lives. She provides a safe place to have authentic, transparent, conversations where you can show up however you need.
Shatera has been working in the mental health field as a trauma therapist for 5 years. She earned a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel University where she also teaches in the psychology department. Shatera has extensive experience coming alongside families, individuals, and couples. She specializes in the healing of trauma using a systemic approach, cultural humility, and EMDR in the hopes of creating sustainable and resilient change in the lives of clients she works with.
When not parenting her 3 kids, Shatera enjoys reading, spending time outside in nature, seeing live music, and good coffee.
