Clinical Trainee
I believe that our relationships, environments, and life experiences shape who we are, and I value the unique lives experiences each person brings into the therapy room. I view therapy as a collaborative process. I aim to walk alongside my clients as they navigate challenges, make meaning of their own experiences, and move toward the changes that feel important to them. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives and my role is to offer support, reflection, and a safe nonjudgmental space where they feel heard and understood. I strive to show up with warmth, authenticity, and respect, and to build a therapeutic relationship that feels safe and supportive.
I recently graduated with my Master of Arts from the University of Minnesota, with an emphasis on infant and early childhood mental health, attachment, and development. This has shaped the way I understand people and the importance of considering relationships, experiences, and environment as a part of their story.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in a preschool day treatment setting supporting children with neurodevelopmental differences, behavioral concerns, and early trauma. During my clinical internship, I provided individual and family therapy, working with children and families navigating developmental differences, behavioral challenges, and parenting concerns. These experiences reinforced the importance of meeting each client where they are, honoring their unique lived experiences, and tailoring therapy to their individual needs, strengths, and goals.
I have also received training in Attachment & Biobehavioral Catch Up (ABC) and Circle of Security Parenting, which have strengthened my understanding of the role of relationships play in growth and healing. I strive to bring these experiences into my work by creating a space where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered as we work together toward their goals.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family, and travelling/exploring new places. I enjoy learning about different cultures and trying by new foods.
