Housing Programs

Obtain Safe, Affordable, and Stable Housing

Access to basic food and shelter is often a necessary first step in recovery from mental illness. Canvas Health’s supportive housing is a successful, cost-effective combination of affordable housing with services that helps people live more stable, productive lives.

Since 1990, the Canvas Health housing program has assisted adults with mental illness and substance use disabilities in obtaining and maintaining safe, affordable and stable housing. Canvas Health housing is located throughout Washington County and includes a variety of temporary and permanent housing options for formerly homeless adults with substance use and mental illness disabilities.

Canvas Health’s Service Coordination is a program that works in conjunction with housing services to provide onsite social workers in buildings occupied by seniors. They offer information, referral and general housing support.
