My approach to therapy is holistic, creative, kind, and practical. My goal is to provide clients with skills and insight to cope with both everyday stressors and big life events with as much ease as possible.
I have additional training in dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness and yoga and can incorporate that knowledge for clients who are interested. I also like to integrate education about stress response and the mind-body connection to help clients cope more effectively with the physical symptoms that can often be associated with anxiety and depression.
I have more than 15 years of experience working in community mental health in a variety of roles, including as an advocate, skills trainer, and outpatient therapist. I treat most symptoms and diagnoses, including difficulty with relationships, anxiety/worry thoughts, concerns with mood and/or depression, trauma and PTSD and personality disorders, including borderline personality disorder.
