Clinical Psychology Practitioner
I take a holistic perspective in regard to an individual’s mental and physical health concerns. I believe client-provider collaboration is key and I highly value consultation with treatment teams. When working with children and their families, I pay particular attention to the various systems impacting a person’s difficulties and practice openness and flexibility for the purpose of meeting each individual’s unique needs. I also utilize psychological assessment strategies when necessary for the purpose of gaining diagnostic clarity and formulating targeted treatment plans.
I have extensive training working with children and adolescents age 7+, especially those who either need or have needed out-of-home placement and/or psychiatric hospitalization. I have experience working directly with clients in residential treatment centers, psychiatric inpatient hospitals, inpatient substance abuse programs, day treatment settings, intensive in-home services, and outpatient programs. I also have extensive training conducting psychological assessment with individuals of all ages both for clinical/neurodevelopmental and forensic purposes. I treat individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, psychotic disorders, relational and interpersonal difficulties, personality disorders, dual diagnoses, health conditions, parenting concerns, and attachment disorders. My psychotherapy training is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), interpersonal therapy, family therapy, Time Limited Dynamic Psychotherapy (TLDP), and behavior therapy, among others.
