School-Based Therapist
I consider myself an eclectic therapist, using many different approaches and techniques in therapy. Much of my experience is based upon trauma informed care and I always teach psychoeducation on how toxic stress, trauma, and mental health symptoms effect brain functioning. My belief is through safety, connection, validation, and action – positive and authentic changes will occur.
I have been a social worker for over 10 years. My previous experience includes children’s mental health and child protection, CTSS/skills work, and case management. After I completed my master’s degree, my experience includes school based and outpatient therapy settings.
To refer a student to school-based mental health services, please contact your school’s social workers.
